Nationality: Japanese
Educational Background:

Role/s in the Project:
My main role is the Hentenna mission(HNT). Hentenna is the name of antenna developed by a Japanese amateur radio person. We will design and develop an aluminum structure as a non-deployable antenna based on a looped Hentenna. We will demonstrate this new design antenna on orbit. Currently, the antenna has been tested using a structural model and we are on the process of improving the matching circuit.
My secondary role is the Ground Station sub-system(GS). The main tasks are frequency coordination and maintenance of GS equipment. We use many radio bands with 4 uplink lines and 5 downlink lines so the frequency documents are more complicated. We have submitted the document to JARL(The Japan Amateur Radio League) and we are waiting for its response.
How do you feel about being part of BIRDS-4 Satellite Project?
Building a satellite is so hard and sometimes make me feel the pressure but I always look forward for fun and interesting things about the project.
Any advice to people who are interested to be part of a satellite project in the future?
No antenna, No satellite
